About Us

Our histroy

The Wesley House Association was founded in 1903 in affiliation with the Methodist Church. We serve as an anchor in the community, providing a safe haven for the young and the young at heart.  It continues today as a United Way social service agency that provides ongoing support for youth and families in the 21st Ward in North St. Louis.

Fun, safe and educational describes the After School Program at Wesley House.  Children from area schools convene Monday – Friday from 2:30 – 6:00 p.m.  Homework assistance, tutoring, arts eco, recreation with nutrition education, field trips, library visits, drama and games are just some of the activities at Wesley House for children who are members.

Senior Department

Senior services and programs

Many of the senior services at Wesley House are made possible through a grant from the St. Louis Area Agency On Aging – SLAAA.  The primary goal of the program is to help seniors retain their independence.  The program has three areas of focus; Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals and Transportation Services.

Community Department

Direct Services and community dialouges

The Community Forum is the name under which Wesley House provides community services and initiatives.  There are three main components to the forum and through them we are able to deliver an array of services and activities that touch a large cross-section of people in our community.
